3. ICHCA Member G2 Ocean says 'safety intervention is welcome'

In the latest edition of G2 Ocean’s Safety Bulletin, the focus is on positive safety action, empowering everyone to be a safety leader and to speak up if they see something going array.

In this case a person showed leadership and stopped crane operations, when they noticed that wire lifting rope was rubbing against the ship structure during cargo operations. G2 Ocean note that they "…work with stevedores all over the world. By sharing lessons learned on safety between companies and ports, we believe we can reduce the number of incidents and personal injuries in our industry.” A view that we in ICHCA wholly co-sign!
