Dear Members and Friends...
Over the past few months, it has been encouraging to see such strong engagement from across our membership and the wider cargo handling community. Whether through participation in industry discussions, contributions to safety initiatives, or collaboration on emerging challenges, it is clear that our shared commitment to safer and more efficient operations remains as strong as ever.
This edition reflects that collective effort. From the launch of our Strategic Priorities Survey to our continued presence at key events such as TOC Europe, we are focused on listening, learning, and ensuring that ICHCA remains aligned with the needs of its members. Your input is essential in shaping not only our direction, but the practical impact we can deliver across the sector.
Safety, as always, sits at the heart of everything we do. The upcoming Safety Village in Hamburg and our Maritime Safety Series webinar both reinforce the importance of sharing knowledge and real-world experience. Continuous improvement depends on open dialogue and a willingness to challenge existing practices - something our community consistently demonstrates.
At the same time, our work with the International Maritime Organization ensures that your voice is heard where it matters most. With ongoing developments in areas such as decarbonisation, digitalisation, and evolving regulatory frameworks, it is vital that cargo handling expertise contributes to global decision-making processes.
I would also encourage you to take note of the practical insights shared by our members, such as the latest safety bulletin on manual handling. These contributions are a reminder that innovation and learning often come from within our own network.
As ever, thank you for your continued support and engagement with ICHCA. Together, we are not only responding to change - we are helping to shape the future of our industry.
Let’s keep raising standards, together.
